Death

While I was tucking the girls in the other night, they got to talking about death. I don't know why they were talking about people dying, but it was a very bizzare conversation to have with 4 year olds. I was explaining how most people die when they are older, with wrinkles. Julia got really upset and said "Oh no, I have dimples." "Not dimples sweetie, Wrinkles!" "Oh, ok." She had to have some hugs to soothe her heart.

Then Abigail asked "Do we go to heaven before or after the rocks cry?" It took me a little bit to figure out the she had heard a song about the mountains bowing down, the oceans and rocks crying out Praise. It was really precious.

But we had to talk about how everyone is born and everyone dies. It was rather sad, but we talked about heaven, and Jesus, and Leif and Granny Sue, and it was truly precious.

Fun Friday!! or FUNNY Friday!!

Caleb wanted to spend the last of his birthday and Christmas money. So I took him to Gamestop. While we were there, he bought his brother a new DS game. He wanted them each to have a new game. I just thought it was so sweet.

We were sitting at the table eating dinner, and Abigail was claiming she could do something different that Julia because "I am an inch taller than her." "No you're not Abigail." "Well, I feel like I am!"

After dinner, Chris was going through some clothes. He found a shirt that was stripped with bright colors. Julia said "Hey, that shirt's like the one that boy wears." "What boy?" "You know, that boy." To which she runs to her room and returns with a book titled "Joseph loved God." We laughed so very long at this one!!

And then just as Chris and I were falling asleep I realized "Our girls will be 5 in six weeks." To which, I cried.

Christmas

There are some really good Christmas pictures. However, Chris has had to clean both of our computers and the pictures aren't back on either one yet. So my brother is going nuts....Love you Nate, so here is an update. We have had the most fun with our Surprise present..the Wii. We have Bowled, Boxed, Golfed, played tennis, been Batman and Robin and played with our pets on Little Pet Shop. The girls have cooked like mad in their new kitchen and the boys have built all sorts of stuff with the legos. We have also played with our Easy Bake Oven Cupcake Pen. And I have used my new "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes A Day" book to make a hot batch of white bread everyday. Which has made for a nice mix from my usual wheat. Chris busted out the new fire pit and cooked us some dogs! And then David has been having fun with his new teacher "Dad". In the mean time, we have been working on the final touches of our Cadence video. So it has been a busy month. And I have a secret mission I am working on next week. If you really want to know the BIG secret leave me a message, and I will tell you. Have a good week!!
