Thoughts from my heart.

JOHN 21:15-19

"When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes Lord," he said "you know I love you."
Jesus said "Feed my lambs."
Again Jesus said "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?"
He answered "Yes, Lord, you know I love you."
Jesus Said, "Take care of my sheep."
The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?"
Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you."
Jesus said "Feed my sheep. I tell you the truth, when you were younger you dressed yourself and went where you wanted; but when you are old you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you want to go." Jesus said this to indicate the kind of death by which Peter would glorify God. Then he said to him, "Follow me!"

What if that follow me, meant to leave your family and friends and go to place like Guam, Japan, or Alaska. Would you be willing to put "feeding the sheep" above your own comfort? This is something every missionary has to ask themselves. Leaving your extended family can be even harder. We are especially close to our Parents, Siblings, Grandparents, Aunts & Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. But we are also blessed because our family members are Christians. This does make the leaving easier, because we would all be together in heaven. We are praying right now that God would confirm in our hearts where He would have us serve with Cadence. The BEAUTIFUL thing about following GODS will. Is that you will feel at home where ever he sends you. And the miles or oceans that you cross will not tarnish or change how you communicate with your loved ones. You are getting to enjoy your family now. And all this is in preparation for what tomorrow holds. Even going to seminary was in preparation for tomorrow. (you were away from family then too)I pray for you and your family everyday as your prepare for the road ahead. I miss you and love you all

Cullman is a good place to raise your children!! :) What else would a momma say about her daughter taking her grandchildren far, far away!! Okay, I'll try to pray "not my will but yours, O Lord!"
