My Baby turns NINE!

Opening his Lord of the Rings game

I can't believe that 9 years ago today.......
Chris, My Mom, and My self got up at 5:am and headed to the hospital. My mom snuck off to the Golden Doughnuts. I got prepped for a long day of delivering a baby boy. It was a long day! I read the Boxcar children, and waited on the Labor to progress. And once it did, Wow! Well, let's just say David had a little trouble getting his head out, so we had an emergency c-section. But I still remember seeing his face for the first time, and telling Chris "He looks just like my brother." I never knew all the love I could have for something that weighed a few pounds. I was instantly thrilled to be his mommy. He had jaundice, and I was scared to death. He was so tiny, and now he was ours. He grew and grew. He decided one day to walk, and walked and walked. One night when he was around 2 Stephanie Chadwick bought me the book "I love you Forever". I read this to David a lot. It is now our secret book (He is too cool to be seen reading this book with his mommy). He loves for me to tell it to him in his ear at bedtime! David has opened my eyes to adventure, buzz and woody, steve irwin, pretend-play, dramas, movie making, history, and what it means to be a boy of honor. He is a delight and a joy. Our lives are richer because he is in them. He is an excellent brother, a great protector, and our son. We are proud of him. He is looking forward to pocket knives, camping and surviving, and reading up on his
boating license (2011). I don't know what his future holds, but I know he walks with the Lord. I know he doesn't always get it right, but none of us do. I don't know what he will be when he grows up, but he will always be OURS!
